About the Capital Scan
Background and purpose
Launched in 2012, the Oregon Capital Scan (OCS) brings together stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities within Oregon’s capital ecosystem. Through more than a decade of research and collaboration, the Capital Scan has deepened understanding of how capital flows across our state—and where it doesn’t. The Oregon Capital Scan serves as both a research platform and an educational tool and is a shared foundation for collective action to make Oregon’s capital ecosystem more transparent, inclusive, and effective in supporting business growth.
The 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022 Oregon Capital Scan reports can be found here.
Acknowledgements
This work would not be possible without the collaboration and expertise of our research partners, state agencies, community organizations, investors, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders who contribute data, insights, and lived experience.
Together, we aim to build a shared foundation for collective action that strengthens Oregon’s capital ecosystem and supports business growth across the state.
